It’s good, right?
Attached is the trailer for Baz Luhrmann’s vision of The Great Gatsby (in 3D. Because…). Visually, I’m done. It looks great. But that’s never been a problem for Baz. I like Moulin Rouge, I like Romeo + Juliet, but the way people feel about David Fincher’s work is the way I feel about Baz’s; it’s cold and there is an emotional connection missing.
I love The Great Gatsby. I know it’s cliched to say, but it’s one of my favorite books. I think it’s incredibly well written and contains fantastic characters. I think this will be good. It might be good. But I’m weary. I’m weary I won’t care.
